Full time employees-beginning wage is typically 80% of the wage scale DOEQ. Wage increases each anniversary, 86%, 91%, 95%, 98% and 100% at the end of each of the first five years respectively. At the end of the 5th year, or upon reaching top of steps (TOS), the wage will increase 1% for each additional year of service (longevity)
Part time and seasonal positions receive an increase of .50¢ per hour each year for up to a maximum of four consecutive years

Maintenance/Operator III (Full Time- Benefitted)
The City of Hot Springs is currently accepting applications for a Full-Time Maintenance Operator III. Must be 18 years of age or older, possess a valid driver’s license, be able to possess a valid Class B CDL upon 6 months hire, be able to obtain tanker endorsement upon 6 months of hire, possess a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent, possess 3 years of automotive/mechanical/metal-working/carpentry or related experience. Starting wage: $15.55-19.44 DOEQ plus benefits package. Benefit package includes: Health, Dental, State Retirement, Vision, 11 paid holidays per year, as well as sick and vacation leave.

Water/ Waste Water Operator (Full Time- Benefitted)
The City of Hot Springs is currently accepting applications for a Full-Time Water/Wastewater Maintenance Worker. Desired qualifications include: High School diploma or GED equivalent, Valid SD driver’s license; Class B CDL with tank endorsement preferred or ability to obtain license upon hire and two (2) years of experience relating to construction, maintenance, or repair or any equivalent combination of education or experience. Formal application required, resume with experience, education, qualifications and cover letter recommended. Starting wage: $12.59-15.74 DOEQ plus benefits package. Evans Plunge Lifeguard (Part Time)
Evans Plunge Mineral Springs - Lifeguards are responsible for the health and safety of all persons utilizing the swimming pool and swimming pool facilities. The lifeguard’s position ensures the full safety of all Plunge visitors and of the equipment of Evan’s Plunge. Starting Wage: $13.60/hr. + 50¢ yearly for longevity up to four years.

Guest Services Associates are responsible for providing extraordinary customer service to visitors and members of Evans Plunge. Primary responsibilities include operating the point of sale system to process admission sales and concession sales. Starting Wage: $11.45/hr. + .50¢ yearly for longevity up to four years.
