All customers requesting water, sewer and garbage service, hereafter referred to as "utilities,” from the City of Hot Springs must make application to the City Finance Office at 303 North River Street, Hot Springs, SD or by phone at (605) 745-3135. Utilities will not be furnished to a customer until an application is completed and the required deposit is received by the city. No service will be granted to customers with a delinquent account from a prior residence until such bill is paid in full. Bills are sent out the first of each month and are due on or before the 15th of each month.
Your utility bill may be paid with cash, check, or a credit/debit card at City Hall or here using the
Payment Portal. You may also call in with a credit or debit card. A drop box is located outside City Hall for check payments during non business hours.
Automatic payment of your account is available by completing an authorization form. The automatic payment is withdrawn from your account on the 7th of every month. If the 7th is a holiday, then the payment is withdrawn the next business day.
- Garbage service is mandatory for residential customers. A refuse tote shall be provided to each residence. Contact City Hall at 605-745-3135 for container repairs or if your garbage was not picked up on the scheduled day. Residential curbside recycling is also available. - The City of Hot Springs provides an area to dispose of yard waste & branches for residents of Hot Springs only at no cost. Open 24-7 for your convenience. The Restricted Use Site is located at 2001 Hwy 18 Bypass.
- The City of Hot Springs Water Fill Station is located at 808 Indianapolis Ave, and the current rate is $0.25 for 50 gallons
