City Partners with SLWA for Second Year

The City of Hot Springs has partnered with Service Line Warranties of America (SLWA) for the second year to educate residents about their service line responsibilities and offer protection to residents for the water and sewer service lines that connect their homes to the utility systems. The coverage is voluntary and available at affordable monthly prices.  The Service Line Warranty Program protects against repairs needed to pipes on homeowners’ property that connect to the municipal systems. Repairs to these pipes are not covered by the City of Hot Springs, and a basic homeowners insurance policy usually doesn’t cover normal wear-and-tear to these pipes. If a program customer’s service line needs to be repaired, a simple call to the SLWA 24-hour hotline will dispatch a local, licensed and insured contractor familiar with local code. There are no service fees or deductibles, and the repair is guaranteed for one year. This program is voluntary for homeowners, provided at no cost to the City of Hot Springs and no public funds are used to promote or administer the program. Last year, 113 homeowners signed up for coverage, 6 claims were made with over 16k paid out for repairs in 2023. Please call 1-844-257-8795 or visit www.slwofa.com for any specific questions as City Hall has very limited information on the programs offered.
